Ég hef einu sinni séð ref í Skotlandi en þeir eru töluvert ólíkir þeim íslensku...rauðir og stórir. Það er óhætt að segja að hjartað hafi tekið smá kipp þegar ég mætti Herra Refi í dýragarðinum í Edinborg...á skokki á göngustígnum. Það tók smá stund að átta sig á því hver var hér á ferð en fyrstu hugsanir voru að eitthvert dýrið hefði sloppið úr búrinu sínu. En svo var ekki...Herra Refur var greinilega í sömu erindagjörðum og ég þarna; að skoða dýrin í dýragarðinum...

I´ve always had a thing for foxes and think they are beautiful creatures. Now I´m sure not all would agree with me on this matter since many see the fox as a plague that pests sheeps and such, but they sure are beautiful and look good as a motive for both pillows and hats.
I am always on the lookout for a fox when we go to our summerhouse in the west and hoping to snap a good photo but haven´t been that lucky yet. I have, however, been so lucky to meet a fox in Scotland and they are quite different from their Icelandic uncles...red and big. My heart took a leap when Mr. Fox jogged towards me in the Edinburgh Zoo and it took awhile to register that this wasn´t a caged animal on the loose. It seemed that Mr. Fox was there for the same reason as I was; namely to look at the other animals....
