Ljúf byrjun | Sweet beginning

Páskafríið byrjaði á ljúfum nótum; sumarbústaðaferð með fjölskyldunni og þá dugði nú ekkert annað en tveir bústaðir! Þó snjónum hafi kyngt niður um helgina og árstíðin minnt meira á jólin en páskana nutum við útiveru í yndislegu veðri...ásamt inniveru með páskabingói, spilastundum og góðum mat. Á heimleiðinni renndum við við í kaffihúsinu Hendur í höfn í Þorlákshöfn....mæli með heimsókn þangað! Virkilega fallegt kaffihús og veitingarnar dásamlegar.

Our Easter vacation started in a lovely way this Friday. We went with the whole family to a cottage where we had great time in the snow; took walks, built snowmen, played boardgames and Easter bingo...and ate some good food. On our way back home we stopped at a beautiful cafe, Hendur í höfn, in a little town called Þorlákshöfn, Beautifully decorated and the cakes were delicious :)

Roadtrip

We took a little roadtrip on Good Friday with lots of members from our family. This has been a custom for the last years - driving into the country, having a picknick and let the kids play. The weather was ok...just that, ok - but this is Iceland in April so our expectations weren´t that high ;)

We explored an old church called Strandarkirkja, which is very beautiful, found the ruins of an old house and played in a little forest.
